That is a good idea, Meli. Before we start nominating, the question of merit is: Is Connect Uganda his (Michael Mulambuzi) own effort? OR is there somebody else behind this website, in which case Michael is simply an agent? Just asking...
I've read from some newspapers, and as far as I know, this Website is Mikes brainchild. But I think if it wasn't, the webmaster or someone would have come out to tell us otherwise. Moreover, on the Sunday family show, people call and thank him for the idea and the work and everything, he sounds like a cultured young man, I think he'd have given the credit to the rightful person if it that was the case.
What I don't understand, does anyone know whether people outside the UK are allowed to nominate? And someone tell the Uganda Community Achievement Awards people, they are asking the nominator too many questions. It doesn't make sense. E.g, what would they want my address, phone no, for? I think name and email would suffice. And How am I supposed to know the address of the nominee? Maybe means of contacting him/her would have sufficed. MAny internet people have discovered already that their guests find it very exhausting to leave their particulars everywhere and for the most trivial reasons. Remember the votes we put in for Chameleone on the MTV? You just clicked here and there and that was all. Another vote for some third world project to be funded....., all they wanted was your email and that was all. Please people don't ask us too many things, we don't have the time or the energy.
