Chameleone survives death, injures limbs
Local music star, Jose Chameleone a.k.a Joseph Mayanja last Friday night, survived death narrowly when he sleepwalked through the window of his hotel room on the third floor of Impala Hotel in Arusha.
Chameleone who had traveled to Tanzania for weekend music shows in Arusha and Tanga; broke both lower bones of his legs.
‘He got injuries on the lower legs; it is a crash fracture of calcenus bones of both legs,” explained Kenneth Obwot, a doctor who airlifted him from Kilimajaro Airport.
Obwot said that Chameleone walked up from his dreams and went through the windows. The singer was alone in the room and the door remained closed. He landed from the third floor of Impala Hotel in Arusha, Tanzania, but was lucky; he had no other injuries apart from the bone fractures.
Chameleone says he went safely to his hotel room after his music show; changed clothes to boxers and slept. But he was shocked to find himself surrounded by people hours later; others were calling him a thief! He was in pain; but one of the onlookers identified him and rushed to call promoters who taken him to Tanzaina.
As soon as the promoters arrived; they rushed him to Arusha Hospital; where he immediately contacted his wife to chatter a plane which airlifted him from Kilimajaro Airport to Entebbe International Airport. He was admitted to Nsabya Hospital at 10:00pm on Saturday.
He is a feather weight man, who is always exercising; it helped him if it was somebody else who does not exercise he would dead.
