Former President Binaisa in good health

Former President Godfrey Binaisa is in good health. He was responding to speculation today about his health. He talked to the New Vision's news editor while touring his land in Mutundwe, a suburb of Kampala.

QUOTE: FORMER president Godfrey Binaisa is in good health, according to his doctors at Victoria Clinic on Lumumba Avenue in Kampala. When The New Vision visited the clinic yesterday, Binaisa had just completed his routine medical check up and was walking steadily by himself.
“How are you friends?” he asked when his driver told him that journalists wanted to photograph him.
When asked about his health, he replied: “I am okay, I have just had my routine check up and I am now going to inspect my land in Mutungo.”
A doctor said: “He checks in occasionally for physiotherapy. He is our outpatient because we don’t admit people here.”
According to family sources, the 87-year-old former president was recently in Nairobi, Kenya for treatment.
Born on May 30, 1920, Binaisa went to King’s College Budo, Makerere College and earned a law degree from the University of London.
