Snake charming is a job my friend. No one becomes a snake charmer without know how and experience. He'd be bitten and killed in his very first steps. These people make a decent living, and are very useful. Ask anyone living in a snake infested environment. If anything happens to them, everyone will be sad and his loss will be much felt. People will be pitiful, not for him, for themselves, wondering how they are going to deal with this problem without his help and expertise. But then again, enyanja etta muvubi.
As for Ssemogerere, these poeple are answerable to the problems of our generation. He's a snake that one. He's everywhere, dining with Obote, pretending to be his opposition while people are boarded on lorries to slaughter houses. This man thinks being a Catholic is bigger than being a Muganda. What matters is our relationship with God. The Baganda, like him, who think in this way have caused our nation a lot of pain right from day one, of the whiteman's arrival. God himself dislikes them.

Prisons in panic as Buganda asks to repossess its land

The Buganda Kingdom has formally written to the central government demanding the repossession of Kigo Prison land, prompting the prisons authorities to petition parliament.
"The government asked for more time and is trying to look for land in Wakiso district to relocate the prisoners," Prisons Under Secretary, who is also the department's accounting officer, Mr Simon Kimono, told MPs on the House Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Friday.
The central government took over Kigo land in 1967 with arrangements that it would be returned to Buganda in future.
While appearing before PAC to answer audit queries for the financial year ending 2006, Mr Kimono also complained bitterly that most of the prisons' department's prime land has either been given away to purported investors or is being claimed by all manner of parties.
"We need to amend the law otherwise we may remain without land. We are under siege and we need to be protected," Mr Kimono pleaded.
Mr Kimono revealed that they have lost more than 100 acres of their Luzira land to investors. "The government has given away 20 acres to an Italian investor who wants to put up a modern heart hospital.
The other 20 acres were given to another investor to put up a school and 60 acres were given to an investor for the construction of an antiretroviral [drugs] factory and we are saying that let the government take over the whole of Luzira land and relocate us," he said.
He said the sell of Luzira Prisons land caught them by surprise because it was secretly done. "What is taking place is outright theft. You will be shocked to learn that Luzira will be replaced by suburbs for some individuals.
"We need a policy on prisons land because what they have is being taken away dubiously. They are using the process of flouting the law under the guise of protecting the investor," Kawempe South MP, Mr Ssebuliba Mutumba observed during the meeting. from monitor
