In the 9/11 commission report, there was a terrorist that was quoted saying, "We don't differentiate between those dressed in military uniforms, and civilians" he continued on to say, "blood must be shed, there must be widows, there must be orphans..." really, I look at those pictures above, and immediately, I recall. Sadly, if al shabab attacked us because of UPDF's presence in somalia, and yet so soon, before the investigations are even done, we have a president already declaring war, before the borders and our national security is really really sound, we are getting ready for an all out war with al shabab, I cant help, but remember what was said by that terrorist in the 9/11 commission report. Those guys don't and will not differentiate between civilians and the UPDF, like m7 wants them to. We have to be extra careful about a way forward. BLOOD MUST NOT BE SHED! I think we critically think about a way forward, not just the rhetoric of declaring war... The current super powers have been fighting the war on terrorism for over 8 years in this new century. Experts say that it is harder than ever for even these most advanced countries with the most up to date technology to keep up, and yet you have a third world country whose significant population lives below the international poverty line, vowing to spear head the war on al shabab before even the people of the country are really safe-(Besides forcing the public to suspend public gatherings, and warning people to be on the look out, I highly doubt the "president" has called any security meeting to set some new measures on how to make sure the nation wakes up safer than before the attacks.) We need assurance that our govt is caring and planning ways to make us safer HOW will this be proven? if no further attacks succeed on the land. The public can be on the look out, but if govt has no ways in place, terrorist will continue from where the sept 11 attacks of 2009 ended, and further spill Ugandan blood. let's analyze things before lives are put on the line. Afterall we hope we have a govt run by people not hungry lions, or "kifaalu"
