I though of this as important to alert you, especially our people back home!
This is very scary and could happen to any of our loved ones. Seems like every nice thing people do for one another can be perverted.
This is a tale of new twist on kidnapping, right from a very smart survivor. Just read on....
About a week ago there was a woman who had gone shopping at Garden City when something bizarre happened! Hastily in an effort to beat the rush hour traffic and heavily laden with her shopping bags, staggered back to her car only to discover that she had a flat tyre!
She got the jack out of the trunk and began to change the flat tyre. Then instantly, a nicely dressed man in a suit and carrying a briefcase walked up to her and said, "I noticed you're changing a flat tyre....would you like me to take care of it for you?"
The woman was grateful and accepted this offer without a moment's delay.
They chatted amicably while the man changed the tyre, and then put the ruined tyre and the jack in the trunk, shut it and gleefully dusted his hands off.
Showing gratitude, the proper African way, she thanked him profusely, and as she was about to get in her car, the man told her that he had left his car somewhere around Crested Towers, and asked if she would mind giving him a lift to his car.
Though it was her turn to return the favor, the woman was a little surprised and asked him why his car was at Crested Towers.
He said that he had left his car because of a traffic Jam, and now he was running a little late.
The woman though telling him "no" would be way out of order since he had just rescued her from her flat tire ordeal, but she felt uneasy.
She told him that she'd be happy to drive him around to his car, but she just remembered one last thing she needed to buy. (Her gut instinct was screaming out loud!)
She said she would only be a few minutes that he could sit down in her car and wait for her and she would be as quick as she could be.
She hurried into the mall, and told a security guard about this stranger. The guard walked back with her to her car only to find that the man had left. Then the guard requested to have a look at the flat tyre in the trunk, which she happily opened.
To their surprise, they found the man's briefcase locked in the trunk! Shocked, they both decided to report it to the police, lest she gets charged with theft and unlawful possession of private property.
At the police, they opened it (ostensibly to look for ID so they could return it to the man). And you'd never guess what they found!!
A rope,a duct tape, and a knife amongst other clutter!
When the police checked her "flat" tire, there was nothing wrong with it, except that the air had simply been let out.
The police concluded that this monster's intention was obviously to kidnap and that he had carefully planned it all out in advance. The woman was so blessed to have escaped without harm.
And that gets me wondering....How much worse could it have been if she had children with her?
Or maybe if she had a baby strapped into a car seat?
Or if she'd gone against her judgment and given in to this pervert's request for a lift?
My perfect answer; Anybody's guess.
I'd like you to spread the word around, coz you'd never know. This may be your chance to save a soul.
That could have been your loved one; your mother; your wife; your sister; your daughter etc.
"A Stitch In Time Saves Nine" so goes the old adage.
RATHER SAFE THAN SORRY!!
